He would only think of his next move, of how everyone was counting on him to save them from the next big bad villain or robbery or- fuck, he doesn't know, he's been out for too long. Fell under slumber for days because he couldn't pick up his broken pieces and glue himself back together. Still, he would smile so everyone else could too.
What Omen didn't realize was that gluing himself together was a temporary solution. He would break again. And what that happens, he wouldn't be the only one able to pick up the pieces.

Summary
It was foolish to think Yuuei was different. As Izuku sprints through halls and stairs with electricity coursing through his veins, he thinks of how All Might told him to be more realistic. He thinks of how he should have heeded the man’s advice considering Izuku’s own history with former classmates and teachers– maybe then, he wouldn’t be left with this hole of betrayal carving its way into his chest.
Or, Izuku has learned once again that he isn't important enough. Aizawa begs to differ.

Summary
There were over a hundred different ways to explain to someone that they were special, that they would be remembered if they just played their cards right and weaseled their way into everyone’s hearts. There were only a few ways to be told you were not special, that you were worse than the average person.
One of those ways was being told you were quirkless.
To accommodate such a thing, there were only two ways Izuku knew how to overcome being considered useless. One was to do everything correctly, to never bother anyone. The second was to stop caring, and to just keep moving on.
Off brand vigilantism fit that category quite well.
(or: izuku becomes a small-time vigilante, and inspires his only friend to do the same. somehow, they get involved in something a lot bigger than them.)

He had been shuffled between at least eleven different foster homes, each one eager to send him back the moment they realized he was quirkless. By twelve, Izuku understood the truth—no one was coming to save him.
So, he became Ghost.
Silent, unseen, and unnoticed, he moved through the city’s underbelly, doing what heroes wouldn’t. No quirk, no support—just sheer will. If the world refused to fight for someone like him, then he’d fight for himself and for those who had no one else.
But then they came.
Yamada Hizashi and Aizawa Shouta. Two pro heroes who didn’t look at him with disappointment or pity. They didn’t see a problem to be ignored or a burden to be passed along. They saw him—just Izuku Midoriya, a quirkless orphan who had been failed time and time again.
But Izuku had been surviving on his own for so long. He had built walls no one had ever tried to break through before. They didn’t know who he really was, what he had done, what he had become.
And he wasn’t sure if there was anything left of him to save.

Somehow, Midoriya had gotten through to Bakugou.
How, exactly, came as a mystery. Why, and why now, weren’t any clearer. It was just the simple fact that Midoriya and Bakugou had left for a day on a joint mission, and when they came back, Bakugou was different. As best the Class 1-A kids could describe it, it was as though Bakugou had become decent. And it seemed to pain him only a little.
Midoriya was different too. It was hard to spot, and hard to understand, but it was as though his presence in the class had vanished as well. He spoke little at all, and answered no questions, and declined a few too many offers to hang out in favor of sleep. He sat in a way much too tense, and his jaw seemed taut to breaking. And now, equally without cause, Midoriya seemed to suddenly despise Bakugou.
