It’s in the middle of scanning the last bottle of green tea that Itadori properly looks up. Eye contact with him is a physical, unexpected shock, a crunch of imaginary static snapping through Megumi and leaving his hands twitching at his sides.
"Hey." Itadori blinks, wide and earnest. "Do I know you from somewhere?"
The tea sloshes backwards in the bottle he’s holding. Megumi focuses on this until his vision steadies.
"No," he says. "I don’t think so."
In the aftermath, Itadori loses his memories instead of his life. Megumi grieves nonetheless.

“Really, Himemiya?” he sighs, way too tired to get upset. “On a Tuesday?”
Mao navigates the waters of being the student council president, one day of paperwork at a time.

It doesn’t feel wrong when Niki leads him in by the arm, tells him to make himself comfortable and says he will start dinner in a few minutes. It doesn’t feel wrong when Niki leans in and kisses him, brief and soft—and it feels right when HiMERU meets him halfway to receive the affectionate gesture. He’s never felt more conflicted in his entire life.
He’s also never felt so warm in his entire life.

Shu has already made peace with the idea of Rinne residing in Shu’s heart. There’s no point in denying it, the hours spent dwelling on the fact, and frankly, the Itsuki Shu of Valkyrie has far better things to do than cause unnecessary turmoil for himself over some puppy crush. As shameful as it is to confess that Rinne had won in his game, it’s been long since the matter at hand had moved on from who was the winner and who was the loser. It is now what Rinne’s next move will be; the final consequence of being the “loser” to this scheme of his.
Because if Shu knows anything, it is not that he is incapable of loving, but that his love is hardly something that should be returned back.
