He had tried to get up at least three times since his alarm had screamed at him that it was time to wake himself and Leona up for morning Spelldrive practice, but every time he did, the room swam, the pounding intensified and he was swallowing bile down. Eventually, he had to give up, instead staying in bed and praying that Leona wouldn’t be too mad at him for missing practice, though he knew the lion would love the fact that he could sleep in a bit more.
Ruggie wasn’t sure how long he’d stayed in that position, his head shoved under at least two pillows and trying desperately to figure out what was going on, but at some point, his door was thrown open and he heard the rising rumble of Leona growling.
He might be fucked now, he would assume.
