The fundamental principles of InfoSec are pretty simple...
...actually this may make more sense if I break it down. Humans understand things better when principles are told in a story (this has no relationship to how I understand things no matter what ART says).

Or how Murderbot ends up giving a teaching module on Information Security concepts because humans are bad at security. Some small avoidance of the word relationship or feelings.

Seth side-eyed Iris, then snorted a laugh when she made a talking motion with her hand. “Uh huh.”

« Iris, I saw that. My point is, it is frankly insulting that you immediately assume I did something bad— »

“Peri broke protocol on its last cargo run,” Iris interrupted loudly.

Or, Seth finds out that the surprises never end when your kid is a giant homicidal starship.

    Summary

The middle of All Systems Red, but with a few changes to how those pesky combat override modules work, among other things :)

    Now with bonus chapters!

    -

The humans were going to want to know what a combat override module was, what it did, how it worked, and most importantly, why it hadn't worked on me. I could answer the first three things just fine, but short of telling my already-jittery clients I was hacked ("so I'm actually one of those scary rogue units you've heard so much about, but the good news is that a combat override module can't hijack a governor module that doesn't work!"), that last thing was going to be a big problem.

Honestly, even if I did tell them exactly that, which I really didn't want to do, it was going to be a really big fucking problem.
