Summary
In his third year of high school, Ren Amamiya saves a woman from being accosted on the street after dark. Her attacker turns out to be someone in a position of power, and Ren has the book thrown at him. Already 18, it doesn’t take much string pulling to see him tried as an adult. Five years in jail has left him without any connections in the wider world. When he reemerges at 23, he finds a mystical world he doesn’t recognize where things aren’t as they seem.
