“I want to fuck you,” Malfoy says.
“So fuck me, then,” Harry says. He’s said it for years, a hundred different ways. It tastes new. It tastes like telling Draco to come into his room for the first time, to come here, to live inside him.

“It’s not their fault,” Ron says. His lips press to a thin line. He’s reminding himself as much as Harry. “It’s not Hermione’s fault. It’s not Draco’s fault. It’s not our fault.”
“But we suffer for it anyway,” Harry bites out. Tears really are hot when they hit your face, he realizes. He’d never considered it, but they are. They feel hot when the rest of him is as cold as the grave, and his heart might as well be in one.

He blinked, and then blinked again, but the muggle sweet was still there, its little black dot-eyes staring at him accusingly. There was a small piece of parchment propped against it, and Albus had to squint his sleep-bleary eyes to read the tiny writing.
I'm watching you.
"Well," he said. "That's not creepy at all."

Afterwards, the wind off the sea at the White Cliffs wants to play with Draco’s hair, and he has to catch it in both hands to tie it up, laughing, cheeks already pink from ten minutes in the sun and the shag they had, and Harry thinks I could tell him. I could say it, and he’d still look at me the same.
But he doesn’t.
“Je veux t’épouser,” Draco calls from the cliff’s edge, the sea sparkling behind him.
