Here to fulfill his duty at the behest of some higher power that neither of them had the wherewithal to question. Here to dig and dig and dig, his hands deep in the rich earth that surrounded the depths where the dead slept.
Will clasped his hand with Nico’s and he did not feel one made of flesh and blood. All that came back were bones.
