Chan’s frown deepens, confusion cutting through the calm. “It wasn’t that strong,” he says. “The scent didn’t leave the kitchen.”
“Then you should probably check your ventilation system,” Hyunjin replies quietly, gaze still fixed on Felix. “Because it did.”
Felix blinks at him, disbelief tripping through his system. Of course, Hyunjin would notice. There's nowhere to go and everywhere to go all at once, and he promised them, promised himself, promised Uncle his repentance for Ba Sing Se. He promised to make it up to Katara.
The only question is how he's supposed to do that without teaching the Avatar firebending.
