“Uh,” you say dumbly and the sensation narrows, constrained to a point in the distance, approaching. You stare so hard that your eyeballs nearly begin to burn with how wide you hold them, holding your breath. You’re not sure how you even muster the strength to move your legs, scramble behind the piece of concrete for what you know, even though you don’t know why you know, is flimsy protection.
Even with your heartbeat pounding in the back of your skull, the rest of the world’s gone dead quiet—the same silence that follows in the wake of an animal the rest know not to test. Ears straining, you pick up on the sound of the breeze, a cool whistle. The crunch of a footstep. Slow.
Logic would dictate that you're having some sort of psychotic breakdown because logic would dictate that finding another living human being in the middle of all this would probably be a good thing.
Everything in your body tells you that whatever’s standing out there is not human.

“D’ya,” you start, unsure if you even wanna get into this because the furthest you ever got with a philosophical conversation was when you asked him if he thought cereal was a soup and he answered food was food. So at least you know he doesn’t care for labels. You turn to lie on your side. You probably have a double-chin this way. “Do you ever think ‘bout what you’ll do? After all this is over?”
“After this?” He asks, cocking his head. But you get the feeling he knows what you’re talking about. He’s picked up on your discomfort. Gonna work off it.
“Like,” you fumble for words and gesture to the room, the motel, the long stretch of road that waits for you in the morning. The lack of permanence to it all. Do you count in that equation too? “This. Y’know. The travellin’ and the motels and…ya ever thought about settlin’ down or somethin’?”
He grunts. “Why? You been thinkin’ ‘bout it?”
“Sometimes,” you mumble, almost as though you’re ashamed of wanting more than this, more than what he’s willing to give you.

When Gojo-sensei had asked him to watch over the other Jujutsu Tech students, and especially one Itadori Yuuji, Yuuta agreed to what he thought was an unusually serious, incredibly unlikely ask from the strongest sorcerer in the world. He'd only just kicked off the crazier part of his "Prevent Itadori From Getting Executed For Real" plan when he came face-to-face with Itadori for the first time, realized that no one had ever told him Sukuna's vessel was an omega, and abruptly concluded that there could only be one reason for why Gojo was so concerned about this person in particular.
Then he'd accidentally undone a little too much using reverse cursed technique, and now not only had Yuuta killed Gojo Satoru's mate, but he'd also brought him back to life in the middle of a heat, and he knew that this was almost definitely not the sort of "taking care of" Itadori Yuuji that he'd been asked to do.
(Or maybe it was? Yuuta only had so much self-restraint, after all. But also this was just one Very Big Misunderstanding.)

Hatake Sakumo’s grave seems like the right option — ideal for brooding about the possible future, his choices, and the fact that he shouldn’t be here.
“One suicide victim to another, how come someone like me is brought back? You’re a much better choice.”
Or, after dying in the Fourth War, Obito wakes up in the past. Problems transpire.
