Summary
In the aftermath of the trial of seven, Baelor Targaryen yet lives, and the realm lingers in uneasy silence as the days pass without sign of the prince stirring. Ashford Castle has become little more than an open grave, vultures circling in the form of whispering lords while grief clings to its halls.
In the shadow of those days, Dunk finds no rest. His body remains battered and bloodied, his thoughts circling endlessly around guilt and a rage that has settled on one man alone.
Peace will not come to him, least of all when Aerion Targaryen steps into his chamber one night, bruised and furious, a knife in his hand and very much alive.

"Listen to your manny," Aerion tells his little brother. Is that what Aerion really thinks is going on? Dunk doesn't have the time to be a nanny, between school and basketball and work.
"He's not our manny," Rhae says defensively. "Papa says he's our babysitter. He said babysitters can be guys too."
"Did Dad find you under a dumpster somewhere, or…" Aerion trails off, and Dunk's face flushes. He doesn't know Aerion at all, but he knows he doesn't like him.

Summary
Aerion imagined the towers of Lys wreathed in flame and the other Free Cities bowing beneath the roar of a dragon long since turned to dust.
He wished to burn it all, the palaces wherein men presumed to decide the fate of his womb and the very name of Rogare until nothing remained but ash scattered upon the sea wind.
