“P’Thee?” Rati says, achingly sweet, his fingers stroking the tense muscle of Thee’s jaw. “We still have time together. Perhaps by the time I must leave, the world will be at peace again. It’s already been a year - how much longer could it last?”
“You’re right.” He forces a smile. “Perhaps soon it will all be over.”
That’s all life seems to be nowadays: perhaps, perhaps, perhaps. But Rati softens against him, soothed by his empty platitudes. “And then, once we’ve won the war, I’ll come back to Siam and find you.”

“Oh, hello,” Jeongwon mumbles, leaning back against the fridge. “Surgery finished?”
“Evidently.” Junwan tries to smile, even a little, but it’s just so damn tiring. Everything is, nowadays. He should be happy that Jeongwon is talking to him now, but he isn’t, because this half-awake conversation will be forgotten in seconds. Jeongwon has other people to talk to; he has Gyeoul, who will always come first to him. Junwan doesn’t come first to anyone, anymore.
“You okay?” Jeongwon asks, watching him. There’s concern in his eyes, despite his sleepiness, because Jeongwon is a fucking saint, and no wonder his girlfriend still loves him.
“Yeah,” he says. “I’m okay.”

Summary
Of course Li Ming calls his uncle. Maybe not as often as Heart calls his parents, but he does his best. At least every other day, he takes the time to have a quick conversation with Uncle Jim, catch him up on what he's been up to, ask about Wen and the food truck – it's equal measures fun and a way to keep any stray homesickness at bay.
However. Things aren't as flawless as Li Ming wishes. Although their relationship has improved immensely… sometimes they fight like nothing has changed. And Li Ming doesn't know how to cope with that.
Li Ming has another fight with his uncle. Turns out things don't get better overnight, but he's trying, uncle Jim is trying, so Heart convinces him it will turn out alright.

Outside, there is a near silence except for the soft rustling of branches by the wind. The light filters into the room, muted and grey, the only sign of winter that Zhou Zishu can make out from his bed.
It's days like these where he would rather sleep all day and not acknowledge the world.||
Zhou Zishu doesn't always have an easy time with the Seven Nails of Torment and his own memories.

"Do you know what it was?" Zhou Zishu asks. He holds his fingers over Wen Kexing's racing pulse, burning wrist.
Wen Kexing shakes his head. Then, as if the words are dragged out of him. "I do know. I've used it once or twice."
Zhou Zishu gives him a surprised look. He knows quite well that Wen Kexing is not the mask of Philanthropist Wen that he wears—but he hardly expected an open admission of it.
"A potion that compels the truth," Wen Kexing says, and then gasps. He covers his own mouth with his free hand, while Zhou Zishu stares at him.

Chengling is 13 years old. He and Shifu have just escaped the city and moved into Shifu’s grandparents’ house in the country. Now Shifu is being stalked by an extremely weird guy! But even more importantly, Chengling needs to focus on growing his garden, making friends at school, and trying to keep it together even though being 13 is very hard sometimes!
