Mira fully digs her heels into the ground now, firmly shaking her head. “Absolutely not.”
“What?” Zoey teases, nudging Mira’s shoulder. “What’s wrong? Are you...too scared? Is that a—is that a chicken I hear? Somewhere off in the distance?”
“Zoey,” Mira warns, head swivelling toward her, eyes narrowing sharply.
“Bawk bawk,” Rumi mutters under her breath, and Zoey practically howls with laughter at how quickly Mira’s head snaps toward Rumi instead, throwing her head back as she desperately grabs onto Mira’s arm to keep herself from falling over.
Unfortunately for Rumi, Zoey was the one who got the warning, which means Mira is in full fight mode now. That’s immediately demonstrated by Mira letting go of Zoey’s hand to start attacking Rumi, arms wrapping around her neck to pull her into a headlock. Zoey can only stand there and roll her eyes, watching as Rumi shifts their weight, hooking an arm around Mira’s waist, hosting her up into the air so it looks like she’s being carried bridal-style rather than attempting to choke Rumi out.

“Sorry to say,” Caitlyn’s voice goes softer, lower, “You’ve grown a bit predictable.”
She blows air through her nose as the last syllable leaves her lips honey-smooth, and Vi somehow manages to recognize humour in her tone, but Caitlyn’s arms are still crossed, she isn’t moving, but-
She’s smiling, she’s gorgeous, she’s playful and she’s right here.
She’s here. She’s come back to me.
And Vi lunges to capture the lips of the girl who’d once held her hand through a safe and warm sleep.
In a bunker far below ground, Vi is lost, has lost it all- until those beautiful blue eyes find her again.

Maester Orwyle, having just completed his training at the Citadel at age four and twenty, comes to King's Landing early to train under Grand Maester Mellos. However, he didn't sign up to be friends with this pregnant teenager, and he definitely didn't sign up to help this lesbian disaster mend her relationship with her estranged crush/step-daughter. But after the Queen basically imprints on him for offering the bare minimum of kindness and courtesy, it looks like he doesn't have a choice.
