    Summary

"You can call me any day except for Tuesday."

Tuesday is her least busy day with the line and her biggest course load at school, has been cramming a full weeks worth of classes into one day save for an ethics course on Friday afternoon that totally disrupts what would otherwise be a good paying day.

"Any day except for Tuesday." Robin says, her voice suave and smooth and not at all the nervous, bumbling thing that started the call. "I look forward to it, Princess."

And because Nancy isn't one to be outdone — can sell sex with her voice and two can play at that game, Robin — she lowers her voice to something sultry and sexual.

"Oh baby, the pleasure is all mine."

    “You can’t have sex?”

Nancy made a face at her. “I’m a vampire, Robin, not a nun.”

Which kind of answered Robin’s question, except—

“Well you say that, but I fucked a nun once,” she blurted, then balked when Nancy’s eyes widened. “I mean—sorry. It’s just that I don’t really believe in impossible.”

If Robin didn’t know it already, she’d have guessed that Nancy had mastered the art of self-control when she sat on both of her hands to restrain herself.

“That’s…way hotter than it has any right to be,” she rasped.

OR: the one in which Nancy can’t differentiate between survival instinct and being in love when she finds herself riding out a snowstorm with Robin Buckley, her first guest in ninety nine years and maybe the closest she’ll ever get to the sun.

    Summary

Nancy can't seem to stop watching Robin — the way she talks, the way she moves, the way she loves the people around her. And, more and more, how sad she is too. Nancy can't figure out why she cares so damn much about understanding this girl —or about seeing her happy— but Nancy has never been one to abandon a case when it's difficult.

Robin knows she's not supposed to think this way. That you're supposed to love yourself and rah-rah-rah, and she does. So much of her life is beautiful, she knows that. But Hawkins, for all its eldritch horrors, has a way of making her feel likes she’s the one they’d call a monster. And honestly… something feels like it's about to break.

AKA: Robin deals with being gay in the 80s, and Nancy proves that being a hero means more than killing monsters.
