At first she thought it was only the time that changed. maybe she was dragged back into the 14th century in some fever dream. Something her brain cooked up in the split second between when she flew through the car’s windshield and when her skull hit the concrete.
But earth didn’t have dragons. It didn’t have a place called Westeros, it had pigeons instead of ravens carrying letters, it had spring and fall, it had no Dorne or Wall, as far as she knew.
She didn’t remember how she got here. Maybe it was punishment for something she did back in her own world, however far away that might be.
Hopefully it was bad enough to actually deserve this shit, because if it wasn’t, she was going to write a strongly worded letter to Hell’s management as a long winded way to ask one question;

Kara is at the end of her nursing shift when a violent man is brought in with an arrow wound. When he spits blood on her, Kara is transported elsewhere. Soon she's doing emergency wound care on book characters and trying not to lose it. She can't watch people suffer even if it isn't real, but Aragorn is very suspicious of a woman who tells no clear story and smells like an orc.
“Stranger things have happened than you or I have years to tell of it," Gandalf said. "Why does she unsettle you? Surely you do not feel threatened. I am tolerably certain you could defeat her if it came to violence.”
Aragorn scoffed at his gentle humor. “I’m glad to amuse you. There are more dangers than warriors and swords. Need I tell a wizard that?"
“I can assure you she is not evil and has not a whisper of magic.”
“Yet a beautiful woman appears directly in our path, leagues from civilization, and immediately gains the hobbits’ trust. No wizardry, you say?”
Kara was not *unhappy* at being called a beautiful woman (although his standards for human women, as opposed to elves, were probably low), but she was unhappy to be stuck eavesdropping. She’d seen this scene too many times in movies. They would definitely see her.- Language:

The Super Soldier serum wasn't dreamt up over night, but was the product of numerous experiments both unethical and violent over the course of the century. It was going to be the end of all conflicts between good and evil. Scientists died trying to determine the next level of the serum, only for it to be stolen by enemies. Back and forth until one side had the advantage.
Mabel Foster was everything the ideal woman should be in 1914. She was well brought-up, wealthy, educated and the heiress to a large fortune. When her father died in a much publicized U-boat attack by the Germans, Mabel made a decision that changed the course of history by enlisting in the French Army during WWI. After an ambush gone bad, Mabel found herself captured by an early group of Hydra.
100 years later she's discovered in a desolate Hydra base and is taken by the Avengers for safe-keeping and questioning. Little do they realize that all of their destinies and pasts are directly connected through the nest that Hydra weaved.
