Summary
“Pfft, I know I’m a looker, but you don’t hafta stare that much,” Wukong says, trying to break the tension and divert from the fact that Macaque’s intense scrutiny is making him clammy.
“Did he lose his ability to speak?” MK wonders.
Macaque’s ears flicker towards MK’s voice, and as if in response, his mouth opens, eyes still heavy on Wukong. But what comes out are not words. Or rather, not recognizable words—not to this world, not to anyone. Not anyone but Wukong.
Macaque opens his mouth, and speaks the language of celestial primates.
“Who are you?”
Or, to protect Sun Wukong, Macaque dooms himself to live out three turning points of his first life: birth, friendship, and death. When MK and the gang volunteer to look after him, Wukong is forced to grapple with memories thought to be buried, reality-shattering discoveries, and most dangerous of all, a Macaque that likes him. It's a losing battle.

Summary
Blearily, Mo Ran studies his surroundings.
And his jaw drops.
Holy fucking shit, the tiny working remnant of his brain squeaks, there’s a god in my room, before it, too, fizzes into static in face of this divine being.
Or, the overdone anesthesia trope where Mo Ran wakes up to the most heavenly man he has seen at his bedside. He thinks he handles it rather well. Chu Wanning would like to differ.

Summary
Over the course of his employment at the Magnus Institute, Martin learns several things about sirens. They do not sing so much as make you see and hear what they know will affect you deeply. They can know you to the core with just a look. They can appear remarkably human.
They can be deceptively easy to fall in love with.

Summary
Martin Blackwood takes a job as an assistant librarian as a means of paying his way to a Master's degree. His plan is to keep his head down, his grades up, and to stay far, far away from his university's creepy lineup of secret societies until he graduates. His plans had not taken into account Jonathan Sims.
(Martin is an overworked graduate student. Jon's friend is missing. Somehow, they meet in the middle.)

Summary
As a fisherman working under Captain Lukas, Martin has learned to keep his head down and fade into the mist. He does his work, walks further down the path Peter has laid before him, and if members of the crew occasionally disappear, Martin has learned not to ask about them. Has learned to stop caring at all.
At least until the crew pull up something strange and wonderful and impossible, tangled in one of the fishing nets. Something that Peter means ill.
No, Martin doesn't... care. But maybe he can save it. Maybe they can save each other.
