My advice is always ruin the friendship,
Better that than regret it for all time,
Should've kissed you anyway.
And my advice is always answer the question,
Better that than to ask it all your life,
Should've kissed you anyway.Brain cancer, the words feel foreign yet all too familiar. It’s a death sentence. Maybe not now but eventually he knows it will be. After everything he’s lived through, all the fantastical and downright bizarre situations he’s found himself in, this is what’s finally gonna get him. Something he can’t outrun no matter how hard he tries. Well, he’s done running. He’s done hiding. Maybe this could be the thing that finally frees him, as sick as it feels to admit.
Aka: After a sudden diagnosis, Eddie Diaz is left reeling with unanswered questions and what ifs. Ten days, that’s all he’s got. Ten days to decide if he’ll take the surgery and to come clean about the feelings he’s been experiencing for his best friend.
A/N: Guys this fic means so much to me. Thank you to everyone who takes time out of their days to read my little stories. I love you all ❤️

Summary
Buck burst out laughing.
And then he was really laughing, full bodied and loud. And he couldn’t seem to stop as dregs of liquid continued to trickle out of him.The poor LAFD guy before him was looking like Buck was losing his mind— and maybe he was right then, because this was the most ridiculous situation he'd ever found himself in.
“What’s so funny exactly?” The guy asked with a raised eyebrow, amusement dancing in his perfect, brown eyes.
“Because of course my water broke,” Buck huffed out, chest heaving as he kept laughing. “Of course that would happen while stuck in an elevator, with a stranger, with no way out.”
or
Buck, finally heading on paternity leave finds himself in a rather sticky situation, with a ridiculously handsome stranger.

Summary
Buck feels raw when he wakes up. His face hurts and he’s got a pounding headache. He’s overwarm and not alone. Something moves on his arm—
He slaps at it blindly.
“Ow, fuck! What the hell, man?” Eddie whisper-shouts, startled but still endearingly mindful of the quiet sanctity of the bunk room.
“I thought you were a bug,” Buck croaks.
Buck is just trying to do what Bobby told him to do. It might require an extended bug metaphor to get there.

Summary
Evan Buckley was truly fucked. One week after leaving the only home he’d ever known—his parents’ house—Ground Zero hit, and the world went to hell. Eight months later, he’s still searching for his sister Maddie in Los Angeles, armed only with a tear-stained note: “I’m leaving Doug. I’m going to Los Angeles.”
When Buck finally tracks her to Safe Zone 118, he realizes that maybe having a family—and surviving alongside people who actually care—isn’t so bad.
At 118, firefighter Eddie Diaz, a single dad, turned his fire station into a refuge with his team when Ground Zero struck. Just trying to keep his kids safe, he’s thrown for a loop when a stranger shows up claiming to be Maddie’s brother. Buck is skilled, prepared, and oddly magnetic—forcing Eddie to question everything he thought he knew about survival, trust, and maybe even… something more.
