The pool itself is blissfully child-free, but by no means is it quiet. Hank and Kurt haphazardly slap a beach volleyball at each other, across the length of the sizeable pool. Hank, of course, had been having no trouble with the distance. Kurt’s contrasting tactic of teleporting mid-arc to hit the ball further has been providing Scott entertainment where his novel had failed. and Kitty wade around the shallow end, deep in a conversation punctuated every so often by loud and ringing laughter.
