Tailing the man in purple for a moment, he almost loses track of him half a dozen times passing by about four shops on the market-bridge of Wyrm’s Crossing. Brown hair ducks into an alley, finally, and Astarion tucks in behind him. And gets a knife pressed to his throat against a stone wall.
Astarion raises his hands in surrender, “Now, now, let’s not be hasty.” Shocking Grasp is sparking beneath his skin, should the man make an untoward move. It should buy him enough time to flee, coppers a lost cause.
The rogue looks at him, searching for something, and then sighs. Some of the pressure of the dagger eases up. “I suppose you want your purse back.”
“Was it pathetic?” Astarion asks mildly. He knows that it was.

Stephen is about to say he’ll add it to the tab when the sky falls with a roar of color and motion, smashing through the roof and into the staircase right behind them. At the bottom of the resulting hole, covered in dust and flinging away debris, is just about the last person Stephen was expecting to see today, or preferably ever.
Heimdall saves Loki from the Statesman instead of the Hulk. Loki doesn't really appreciate it.

If he appeals to their safety, maybe it will be enough. Lae'zel had been angry at him before for starving himself, for not being the sharpest blade possible. The woman works a whetstone for hours a day, surely she won’t want him dulled by poisoned blood even if it would be at the expense of her own strength.
It’s a long shot, and he knows it.
