Summary
For Andrew college is a means to an end. There is no real need to try too hard or get too attached to his daily activities but Renee meets with him once a week for lunch, Kevin shows up and bothers him whenever he has a chance, his cryptid roommate leaves him strange post-it notes, and a red-headed bartender, with a thing for street art, may or may not be flirting. Andrew wanted nothing until he decides that he kind of wanted something.
Or the College AU where Andrew is studying journalism, Kevin is an academia nerd, the foxes are constantly drunk, and Andrew's roommate is a cryptid.

“You’ll probably never meet them,” his mother said one day at a diner in Texas. It caught him off guard.
“What?”

“I know,” he said, and hoped that she believed him.

Summary
Mary’s hands clenched tighter around the steering wheel. “Symptoms?”
Neil thought about it for a minute, but he knew he couldn’t lie to his mother. She would just find out anyways, given how they never left each other’s side. “Runny nose, scratchy throat. No fever.”
“Yet.”
“Yet.”
