Eddie was perfectly fine sitting in the waiting room they had all grown too familiar with until there was more news about Buck's condition because going into that room... even just thinking about going in there and seeing Buck made all the air evaporate from the room leaving him gasping.
Welp it was absolutely unacceptable that we didn't get any scenes with Eddie in Buck's room or any scenes with Eddie in Buck's coma dream. So I'm just making my own reasons why you to know... make myself feel better.

It could have happened to anyone! It was an accident.
