When he was growing up with M.A.D., he was told to be proud of them. “All the best agents in your family display them with pride. I’ll scare off the enemy, just trust us!” They jokingly pushed him, insisting he was a ‘scardy cat’ for disliking them.

Sonic jolted, mind focusing in on the perceived threat, confused when it stopped moving as he did. Slowly, carefully he flexed his fingers, horror creeping through his non-existent veins as he watched the movement mirrored by the claws.
He… knew that hand. The numbers in his mind came faster, blaring some sort of warning as the strange feeling of panic without a heartbeat became known to him as he looked down, taking in the sight of familiar blue paint. Not a quill or strand of fur in sight. He was… he was…"
After an experiment gone wrong, Sonic and Metal Sonic wake up to find themselves in the other's body. For one, it is a dream come true. For the other, their worst nightmare made horribly real. But as it turns out, things might not be quite as simple for the either of them.
