Summary
Maya Rosenthal-Klein is doing pretty well, all things considered. Sure, all her friends hate her, her grades are trash, she's been kicked off of her high school's dance team, and she's pretty sure her boyfriend is hiding something from her. But other than that, everything's fine. She's dealing with it.
That is, until she gets enlisted to help with a classmate's student council election. With new friends comes a whole new set of things to stress out over, and Maya soon realizes that "dealing with it" is a lot harder than she once thought.
Episode 3: Back in San Francisco, Maya reunites with the girls she met back at the Music Club party and meets a whole new face - but gets a little bit more than she bargained for when she's roped into helping with Hailey's campaign for Junior Class President.

When the initial hunger for getting assigned a good story and the subsequent satiation that comes with it wear off, Bernstein is left with a lingering annoyance.
Woodward is young and inexperienced. He’s been working at the Post for nine months. He should be scrappy and rough around the edges and still breaking a sweat every time Bradlee so much as thinks about him. Instead, he’s all golden retriever confidence and charm and somehow has an infuriating knack for turning a courtroom assignment into the story of the fucking century.
Of course, he can hardly write to save his life, which makes Bernstein feel better.
