Summary
Twelve years is a long time to know someone, even if you don't particularly get along. Sometimes empathy and understanding are built piece by stressful piece, and stability, not power, can be a reason to gravitate towards someone. Even mortals brushing the boundaries of divinity are just people infected with an isolating madness; just as flawed, just as weary, just as alone. It is relief that guides a person to seek out another's presence, and that can be enough.
TLDR: A linear series of moments showcasing an unlikely bond between two very different people. (Mostly) Canon-Compliant

Summary
The vivid clarity of the world around himself, draped in a dark cloak of night that his enhanced eyes saw through as if it were but a thin sheet; the crisp autumn air tickling the inside of his nostrils with such saturation that it almost felt like he could taste the coming winter on the tip of his tongue. The breeze that came from this altitude tickled his bare skin, and despite its ineffectual chill against his strengthened flesh, goosebumps climbed up his neck from the tactile sensitivity he bore against its breath.
Everything felt so real, realer and fresher than it'd ever been. If that made sense, which it probably didn’t.
His senses then were just so alive that he didn’t think he could recall a time he’d ever been so… aware, of everything.
Toji fucking Fushiguro. Who would've guessed. In the middle of Shibuya too, like, really?

Summary
Alicent knew what her father wanted, and knew what could happen if she went directly against his wishes. However, she could never betray her friend in such a way and continued to push the king and Rhaenyra to reconcile after the tragic death of Queen Aemma. However, her father is not the only one who sees Alicent as a pawn to be used within House Targaryen.
Wishing to reconcile with his brother and have him back for his wedding to the very young Laena Velaryon, King Viserys orders his brother back to King’s Landing with the promise of the one thing Daemon wanted more than the throne: an annulment from his wife Rhea Royce. However, upon his return, Daemon learns that his brother has another bride already lined up for him: Lady Alicent Hightower.
The tentative strings of a song have been plucked and a dance is about to begin. The color of some of the players may have changed, but the song must be played for destiny is a terrible thing and dreams are not always as they seem.
