Summary
Andrew, already, could see a lot of his younger self in Olwen. She had hair so blond it was almost white, and an almost entirely blank look on her face. Her eyes were brown, too, though a much, much darker brown than Andrew and Aaron’s. Maybe Olwen got them from her mother. Andrew’s eyes, in the sunlight, sometimes looked more gold than brown, according to Neil’s disgustingly flattering words. Olwen’s were duller and darker, like maybe, at one point, they could have been the same as Andrew’s, but had been stained by the rottenness of humankind.

After practice one day, Nicky gets a call from a social worker, asking him if he is available to take in one more Minyard—a nine-year-old girl named Olwen, and Andrew and Aaron's half-sister. They take her in without hesitation. It doesn't take long for Andrew to realize he understands Olwen all too much, and Aaron is quickly terrified that he doesn't understand her enough.Bookmarked by kbrodge

Summary
Kevin Day thought there was something familiar about the last-resort recruit from Arizona when they watched his tapes. It wasn’t until he was looking him in the eye in person that he realized. Nathaniel Wesninski might be miscolored and a few years older than the last time he saw him but to Kevin he was unmistakable.
A ‘Kevin recognizes Neil’ fic.

Summary
Jena and his therapist agree it's time for him to work on getting into the water and working on his Aquaphobia. The thing is, Jean needs someone he trusts to help him. Enter Neil Josten.
A bit of a platonic relationship study of my favorite forever partners as well as an 'outsider perspective' from Jeremy 'definitely not jealous' Knox.

Summary
“We can not live like this, Abram. I cannot live like this.” Neil stops, tilting his head as her whiskers brush his ear. “It is not enough for us to survive just for the sake of being alive. Give us something to live for.”
There is a pause, Wymack’s eyes bounce between man and daemon.
“This will be our end,” he answers finally, his voice hollow despite himself.
She lets out a chuffing sound, the closest thing she has to a laugh.
“Did we ever get a beginning?”

Everyone knows that daemons are a fact of life. Everyone is born with one, a physical manifestation of your soul that appears as an animal. For most, a daemon remains fluid, shifting from form to form throughout their youth until they settle as one thing during puberty.
Neil Josten’s daemon has never settled (and keeps changing into something... dead), and Andrew Minyard doesn't talk to his. As Neil begins his first year at Palmetto, it gets harder and harder to keep his soul in check, to remain the uninteresting Neil Josten. To make matters worse, Andrew and his daemon don’t seem to miss anything.
Something has to give.
This is the kindling.
