Viago’s voice is strained, eyes rolling as she considers him with a raised eyebrow. She’s been acting strange, not worried exactly, but on edge, ever since he revealed that he had come in contact with a bit of blight a day or so ago. It had seemed so inconsequential that he forgot it had even happened until he mentioned it offhand. When he had seen her tense, he knew he should have kept it to himself.
“I’ll inspect you myself.” The words had stayed in his mind, a weight that never seemed to leave until she was standing before him.
