Warmth crept up the sides of Stephen's neck. "He started it," said Marcus petulantly, "he always does, and that's why I've been sleeping on the couch."
"Is the couch Minbar," Stephen retorted.
"Mother always said you'd break my heart," Marcus wailed, folding his arms and looking to the heavens.

Minvember: a b5 art challenge with palettes and prompts running in November.

In keeping with the challenge, for the most part, I wrote only during the times the prompts were assigned (e.g. 'choice' was written between Nov 1-5). The resultant fics are still pretty draft-ish and not super polished, but the point for me was to get them out there instead of ruminating on them forever as I tend to do.
