Summary
At what point does living a lie become your new truth? Selfishness can turn into selflessness, someone you only pretended to care about can become your best friend, and a desire to die can turn into a will to live- though, all can return to their initial state in just a moment.
Shisui Uchiha killed his best friend and he doesn't know how to live with it, especially when he's rewarded with the new power 'Kotoamatsukami.' Desiring to have someone kill him in retribution, he uses Kotoamatsukami on the young prodigy Itachi Uchiha to make him accept Shisui as a friend. The plan is simple: Put on a mask, train up Itachi until he's strong enough to defeat Shisui, and then tell him all about the Mangekyo, at which point Itachi would kill him for his evil act.
Shisui just didn't realize how hard it would be to differentiate his mask and his face.
