This is one of my favorite KNY gen fics ever! 🤩
A fic centering on the Kochou Siblings in a Role Swap AU…except Shinobu – the demon sibling – was turned by Tamayo and they have a found family dynamic EEEEEE 💚
I absolutely adore the dynamics the author is exploring here, Tamayo and Yushiro being the new caretakers for the orphaned Kochou siblings. Tamayo specifically being their caring mother figure WAAA…and Yushiro seeming sassy but actually really fond of these kids – I JUST RECOMMEND TO READ IT AAA!!! THERE’S ALSO VERY INTERESTING FRIENDSHIP DYNAMICS BETWEEN KANAE, SANEMI AND MITSURI AS THIS AU’S KAMABOKO SQUAD 🔥AND CAN’T FORGET ABOUT THE KOCHOU SIBS’ BONDS AND THE COMPLEXITIES OF IT – SHINOBU BEING A DEMON BECAUSE OF KANAE’S DESPERATE CHOICE TO KEEP HER ALIVE AND KANAE BECOMING A DEMON SLAYER TO HELP SHINOBU WITH GETTING BLOOD NEEDED FOR HER TRANSFORMATION HUHUHU
Apart from these wonderfully written relationships that the author effectively makes you fond of, the emotional and other angsty beats (as per KNY’s themes) just hit so so so good!!! AN EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER THAT I’D LET MAKE MY HEART DROP AGAIN AND AGAIN! This author’s amazing writing is the cherry on top of making this a fic I always look forward to and will wait as long as needed for 💚

This fic is so...so...so...GENDER ™️ !!! I love the ShinoMitsu dynamic here AAA Mitsuri (who's the main POV) being smitten is so ADORABLE. Every time she thinks of Shinobu as "her boy" simply adds years to my life LMFAO It scratches the very specific itch of seeing more handsome/gender neutral Shinobu.

I looove the concept of "corrupted," or unhinged Mitsuri who only listens to "her Shinobu." And Shinobu being absolutely thirsty over this new side of Mitsuri who is capable of tearing apart a demon with her bare hands 😱😱😱 ... *fans self* I can't even blame her for wanting such strong arms around her 👀 I'm so excited to see what this Mitsuri is up to still walking around with those red eyes...it's the only instruction from Shinobu hasn't listened to it seems 🤭🤔
