Summary
(The day her parents brought Tobio home from the hospital burned like silver in Miwa’s memory, a blazing fixed point around which so many other things came to orbit. He’d been small and strange, a squishy lump with a shock of black hair and the bluest eyes she’d ever seen.
She hadn’t yet been an atheist at eight (that would come later, after the crash), so she also remembered thinking that if there was a God he’d done at least one thing right.)

both she and Tobio are mountains drenched in shadow: solitary, scraping sky. They are beautiful harmony in flight. They are Kageyama

Summary
“You wouldn’t happen to know of any upcoming missions to the roster, now would you, Iruka–sensei?” Asuma asks, his words muffled by the cigarette suddenly sitting between his lips.
Aoba plants a glass in front of her at that moment, full to the brim with golden beer and a fine layer of foam on top. Iruka sends him a thankful smile, and Kakashi’s eye fixates on the curve of her lips for a second too long, the indentation of the corner of her mouth a divot in her cheek, the small dimple next to it a mere detail she would never want to miss.
“Now, Asuma–sensei,” Iruka clicks her tongue, like she’s scolding one of her pre–genin instead of a full grown man. “Please refrain from asking me such things outside the Mission Desk.”
The village is slow, Iruka has to deal with bored jounin.

“Just making sure Konoha’s most precious teacher takes time to look after herself, that’s all.”
“No need for concern,” Iruka grins, following the movements of Kakashi’s hand, picking up her beer, bringing it up to her clothed mouth. “I’m very well taken care of.”

Summary
Iwaizumi’s eyes carve a line that runs along the length of Oikawa’s spine, pausing when they reach the spot where his hands have settled — a little above his hips.
He resists the urge to do something foolish like stroking his side with his thumb, or drawing Oikawa towards him until his back is firmly pressed against his own chest. Briefly, he imagines what it would be like; to feel every exhale that passes through Oikawa’s chest as though it were his own; to allow his hands to roam freely, exploring warm skin and listen to the way Oikawa’s breath hitches when Iwaizumi’s fingertips dip below the waistline of his pants.
Inhaling sharply, Iwaizumi quickly retracts his hands when they reach their destination.
or: iwaizumi gets a little jealous during his trip to rio de janeiro with oikawa.

He looks at him, at those piercing eyes, at that soft mouth, and thinks to himself ‘fuck, it’s never going to be anyone else, is it?’

Summary
Wado is different. Not only is the white sword clearly special to Zoro, but her haki signature is also the least threatening of the three. She still feels dangerous, like any powerful weapon should, but it’s a serene sort of strength—something like a still, deep body of water or Zoro’s powerful body held still in meditation.
Sanji chases that familiar sensation deep into the ocean, even as his lungs start to burn and the pressure of the water threatens to crush him from above. Wado has been with the Straw Hats even longer than Sanji has, and he refuses to let the ocean have her.
Or; Sanji dives into the water after Wado, Zoro shares a secret in the middle of the night, and something shifts irrevocably between them.

Summary
Kakashi always figured he’d be unlikely to reach 30. Bleeding out in the remote mountains of Fire country, he can’t help but find a little amusement in dying just a week short of the mark.
And then he awakens, still quite alive, in the home of a man who claims to be a local civilian.
...Iruka might have a little too much sympathy for wounded strays.

Iruka asks, softly, “Do you ever get tired of what you’re used to?”
