Cerulean eyes, eyes that have the sweetness of a sigh, the sublime voice of the sun, powerful and soft at the same time, shaped jaw, pointed nose... lips drawn in a confused frown - Wait, what? Keith blinked repeatedly, thus returning to reality, to realize that the mysterious boy he had apparently been staring at for who knows how long had been talking to him.
"Dude, are you okay? You completely spaced out“ and his voice... - He should not concentrate on his voice, what he should concentrate on were the words that that voice produced.
"Wh-what?" eloquent, he was doing a great job at not looking like an idiot who stares at people he doesn't know on buses for a long, embarrassing amount of time. "Sorry, I-I was distracted" and he wasn't lying, he had been distracted, even when he didn't want to admit the reason for his inattention.
//alternatively, these two dorks meeting at some busy bus!

Now, Stolas just looked... sad. Not in quite the numb fog he'd been in the weeks after the trial or after Sinsmas, but still sad. Like his edges had dulled.
Un-fucking-acceptable.
Blitz approached his desk and leaned against the side. "What's up, big bird?"
Stolas sighed. "I'm alright, Blitz."
"Uh huh." Blitz lifted a brow.
Stolas huffed and looked away.
Blitz didn't move, ignoring the others whispering behind him. They could suck it.
Stolas fidgeted for one minute. Two. Blitz watched him, until finally, Stolas sunk down into his chair and mumbled, "I miss the stars."

Blitz has a surprise for Stolas. Or: the one where Blitz takes Stolas to see the Northern Lights.
I'm sure someone has done this already, but this story infected my brain and demanded to be written, so. Here we are.

“God, you can be such an asshole at times!” Atsushi was truly starting to get infuriated by his partner but he resigned himself to just adjusting his glasses and underlining a possible clue for their case.
He almost thanked God for the few seconds of quiet, but it didn’t last long.
“You are the asshole, always thinking badly of me.” Akutagawa scoffed before crossing his arms over his chest, waiting for the other’s attention. When he finally got sunset eyes inquiring from above the man’s glasses, he continued. “You said it yourself, you’re tired. I really think you should go home and sleep.”
Or where Akutagawa has to force Atsushi to take a break and the two of them are very soft to each other after a little rest.

Summary
Atsushi is convinced that his soulmate hates him.
While Kyouka hears her match gushing about wanting to meet her someday and Lucy gets compliments that put poets to shame, he is subjected to constant threats on his life. Of course, the universe had to pair him with somebody who has a one-sided grudge against him. He doesn’t even know who they are!
(In which you can hear your soulmate’s thoughts about you, and Atsushi tries to figure out just what the hell his other half’s problem is.)
