It was only a few days ago when his mother texted him, claiming Jamie desperately needed to speak to him. Only after being reassured that nothing bad had happened did TK’s interest peak. He and Carlos and even the rest of the 126 have since been coming up with their best guesses, but Gwyneth had seemingly no answers to give.
So here he sits Thursday night in front of his laptop, already having spoken with his mom for several minutes catching up and exchanging life updates until eventually there’s silence, his mother staring off to her left as they wait for the three-year-old to appear.

TK nods, clutching a pillow to his chest. “Is that something you believe in?” It’s surprising, really, that they’ve never had this conversation.
“Do I believe that two souls can be so connected that no matter the universe they’re able to find their other half?” Carlos doesn’t seem at all troubled by the question. “I don’t think we’d be here otherwise.”
