Summary
What if the canon of Metaphor plays out a little differently, so differently in fact, that Louis Guiabern and Will are teamed together even before Will enters Gran Trad?
When Louis' own allies turn on him, and leave him to die in the middle of fuck-off nowhere, he comes to the sharp realisation that nothing good lasts forever, yet maybe offering kindness where there is none, is the way to change that.
(Fix-It of sorts but also quite Angsty, mainly just and excuse to torment Louis because he's my favourite. No louis bashing though, he does get a happy ending. It's just going to take a bit to get there.)

Perhaps thats why Francesco always seemed so happy to fluster the boy, get him to blush and avert his eyes, the little cracks in his near perfect mask of aloofness and indifference.
He wasn’t blind, he could see that he was the only one Randall didn’t drill into with his eyes, (if he could even bear to look his way for more than 3 seconds). Hell- Randall couldn’t even look in Francesco’s general direction without going even redder than Cesco’s own hair.
Cesco didn't quite understand what it was about this new boy that had him so intrigued, but hidden deep down inside, he felt this new infatuation could go much further than his other previous flings, if fate decided to let him have this, anyway...
