Summary
Professor Lucifer Morningstar, a scholar of American literature, treasured one book above all others. In his bleakest hours, that story had been his lifeline, reminding him that every soul is worthy of a second chance.
Its title was The Hazbin Hotel. What Lucifer could not possibly have known, however, was that the man with whom he had—much against his will—recently become acquainted, a certain Alastor who delighted in belittling his favourite novel and his taste in literature, was in fact the very author of that book.

So, when he started waking up feeling actually rested for once, he couldn't help but feel a little suspicious.
