That's the thing. Dick looked right at the kid, broken hand and all, and nearly let him in. He nearly let him train.
Because after all these years, he didn't process anything wrong with the image before him.
(Dick, Bruce, and the implications of raising a partner instead of a child.)

Summary
Chapter 1: Their new place has rooftop access, which Percy has a hunch was a deliberate choice on his mom’s part. It’s tight, but it’s just about the right size for a Pegasus landing pad, just in case he ever needed a quick, supernatural pickup. It’s also where Paul has been for the last half hour, processing the huge revelation the two of them just dumped on him. (Between BotL/TLO, immediate post-Paul reveal)
Chapter 2: Paul has been waiting for the other shoe to drop at Montauk for years. When it finally does, at Percy and Annabeth's birthday party, it does so in the best way possible. (Post-canon)

Summary
The first time Peter Parker meets (some of) the Avengers, it's in a sewer and/or warehouse-he wasn't able to get a good look at the place, sue him for his uncertainty-after he had (apparently) gotten kidnapped.
The first time the Avengers meet Spider-Man, he's calling them jerkwads from the top of Hawkeye's roof... according to Hawkeye. In Peter's humble opinion, rooftops are communical property among vigilantes, especially during alien invasions.
OR
Seven times the Avengers were confused about Spider-Man's identity, and one time his identity was revealed.
(A story told over the course of seventeen years, seven different world-ending catastrophes, and a kidnapping.)

Summary
It wasn't Layla's fault, not really. It was her initial comment that set them off, but truly it wasn't her fault. If anything, it was their fault for not divulging their mass amounts of trauma to her at their earliest opportunity.
Maybe there was no opportunity, or maybe they avoided any that came up.
After Layla makes an unknowingly dangerous comment, Jake's left front-stuck and picking up the pieces.

Summary
Here comes the million-dollar question: how do you tell your two best friends in the whole world that you’re in love with both of them?
They wish they could say they fell into it. That they slipped and suddenly loved each other and all knew it. That one day they bantered over their kitchen island—Charlie chopping the vegetables, Bosco preheating the oven, June mixing the salad—and paused, looking at each other, really looking. That upon doing so, they suddenly knew. That they sorted out all the heats and flicks and flares of jealousy and hurt and want in one glance. That it was easy.
But—
June’s never been adept at falling: her feet are too quick, her legs too limber. Bosco fell once, and he takes great pains to ensure it never happens again: he’s not the kind of person to trust anyone to catch him, even after all this time. Charlie stumbles often—he’s used to falling flat on his face—but he finally has the chance not to, and he’s not giving in that easily.
