Summary
The morning before they were set to make landfall on Palisade, Figure stumbled into Phrygian. He had opened a door he thought to be the second entrance to the kitchen and instead found himself inside what appeared to be a fully furnished studio apartment.
Figure froze, gaze scanning across the four-poster bed heaped with plush blankets, fully stocked bookshelf, half–curtained window letting in natural sunlight just above an overstuffed armchair. For a moment, they were certain they were still dreaming as they stood statuesque in that impossible space.
Then a familiar voice resonated through the room, seeming to come from everywhere and nowhere all at once, “Good morning.”---
The Figure in Bismuth takes stock of the amenities available on board the Blue Channel and discovers that his favorites are all Phrygian.

Summary
At some point post-series, that "clone our own ancillaries" project gets off the ground successfully, and Mercy of Kalr finally gets to have a body of its own again. Seivarden, a good and dutiful lieutenant, helps out with the test-drive. (Totally gratuitous spaceship/lieutenant fluff. Look, Mercy of Kalr has been through a lot, and if it wants to design itself a smoking hot biomech and then bang an officer, it deserves to design itself a smoking hot biomech and then bang an officer, all right?)
