    Wait a second. Not human? Jon searches his sink with his eyes, as if it holds answers to his endless stream of questions. It doesn’t, obviously. He lets out another shaky breath.
    He looks up at his face in the mirror. His eyes are brown, exhausted, and wide open in fear and confusion.
    Pluck them out. End it now.
    Jon flinches and lets go of the sink as if it burned him.
    You can stop it before it’s even started. Save them all. Gouge them out and be done with it.
    His mind is drowning him. He knows this much. Something happened and whatever it is, it’s going to kill him if he doesn’t approach it carefully.”

    Jon awakens with a tidal wave of memories that don’t make any sense. In an attempt to go on with his life, he searches for the cause of the turmoil in his mind. He knows, though, that something inside him is waking up.

    Jon's been going about his life and his schooling the same way he always has — overworking himself to exhaustion and attempting to ignore the phantom pains he experiences (though there's one ache that always takes him out for the day, a blinding pain in his chest just above his heart that doctors have assured him is no cause for alarm).

    One late night, while doing work for his literature course, something strange happens. He brushes it off, but when the same thing keeps happening, maybe Jon has to admit there's something going on.

    It was always meant for there to be seven of them on this mission. Thanks to the twin's bond, there's eight. Taako didn't care how many people were around though, the only thing that mattered what that he didn't lose his sister. Thanks to the way they were rebuilt every year, he'd never have to worry about losing her again. That was all that mattered.

    Or at least, it was all that mattered at first.

    Taako wasn't sure when he started caring so much about the others, but he guessed it was inevitable. You don't go decades dying alongside the same people over and over again without a bond being formed. You can't spend a hundred years of little moments with people without those starting to mean something.

    You can't just fall in love and have all of that amount to nothing in the blink of an eye.

Harry and Kim must grapple with the ups and downs of their newly wrought partnership, the edges of their own pain blurring against that of the city. Tensions build, and the constant pressure of occupation threatens to crush the embers of resistance within Revachol.

    Written in alternating POV's, with Harry's chapters being in the style of the gameplay.
    SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING OF DISCO ELYSIUM.

    Following a minor concussion, 28-year-old gym teacher Harry Du Bois finds himself missing the last 24 hours of his memory. He teams up with Patrol Officer Kim Kitsuragi from the Juvenile Crime Division to solve the case of his missing memories, a minor theft, and a first degree murder. Both of them get a whole lot more than they bargained for.
