Summary
Telemachus presses her to pick a suitor, or to return to Sparta to her father. He worries for her as much as she does him. He’s lost faith in Odysseus returning home; believes him dead or lost by the gods’ will. Penelope doesn’t begrudge him his thoughts, though she still steadily disputes them. He has never known Odysseus, after all. Has no memory of that enduring, unyielding devotion he holds in his every breath and word, down to his very bones. Does not know that quiet ruthlessness he keeps balanced on a knife’s edge, ready to wield in defense of his family. Nothing would stop him from trying to get home, no matter how long it takes.

Summary
The war all but ends at Odysseus’ hands. A too-clever heartless bastard, an infant in his hands, and a choice—no, wait. We’re getting ahead of ourselves. Rather;
The Trojan War begins, for Odysseus, not with a sworn oath he himself had devised, or Helen’s kidnapping, nor even with the calls to fulfill said oath. It begins with a too-clever heartless bastard, an infant, and a choice.
It isn't even a choice.
//or
Odysseus fails to dodge the draft. He makes this everyone else’s problem. And well, since he’s already here, he may as well win the damn war, too. Surely it’ll all be fine.

Summary
Buck doesn’t think that if he were to say, “I’m in a bad place”, that anyone would turn him away. Really, he doesn’t. The 118 has too many good, kind people for that.
But every time he wants to open his mouth, to say something, to reach out to Eddie or Bobby or Hen or Chim, he hears Eddie yelling, “you’re exhausting.”
—you’re exhausting, you’re exhausting, you’re exhausting—
So each day he does his job and he laughs and he jokes and he pretends he’s the care-free goofball he’s always been. And each day he packs away his bruises and his worries, takes them home to his empty loft with its quiet rooms, and licks his wounds in silence.

Summary
He feels like shit when he's hungry, and he plays better when he's empty. The cold air doesn't touch him as much. The floodlights turn silvery-soft.
And he likes eating. Keeps his hands busy, mouth busy, mind busy. Something to chew through, putty in the ears.
Go until he can't anymore. Cycle it back out. Be ready.--
OR: Buck's had on-again, off-again bulimia since he was 14.

Summary
Everyone knows that when you touch someone who's going to be important to you for the first time, you'll leave a mark on them. It's not just romantic love; parents and children, siblings, close friends all share marks too. At least, they do in theory. Maddie's the only person who's ever touched Buck and left anything behind.
.
It’s funny, growing up knowing your parents don’t care about you. The kind of funny that would get Evan uninvited from sleepovers, which is why he always changes into his pajamas in the bathroom. The kind of funny that he’s not allowed to ask his parents about. The kind of funny that makes Maddie look at him so sadly sometimes, when she doesn’t realize he can see her out of the corners of his eyes.- Language:

Summary
Evan Buckley was born with the singular purpose of saving his older brother. And it works: the cells graft and Daniel's cancer goes into remission. Instead of becoming a grim secret that haunts his family for years to come, Daniel lives.
In some ways, it makes all the difference.
In other ways, it doesn't make any difference at all.
