His first public appearance after presenting, the second son beta no one paid attention to, now revealed to be a diamond in the rough.
Minho doesn't think when he offers Jisung his leather-gloved hand. And Jisung takes it without hesitation, the touch light, for balance and form, but Minho feels the warmth as if it were skin on skin, searing through the leather like flame.
The noise surrounding them rises as soon as Jisung appears, all attention focusing on him.
He's luminous.

Summary
Seungmin ignores him, smacking the folder onto the desk, flipping it open without looking, sliding it across the surface towards Minho. “It doesn’t matter. This was in the lease. You signed, right—” he taps the bottom corner, Minho’s initials perfectly legible. “Here.”
“Excuse me?” Minho leans forward.
“Paragraph nineteen subsection C,” Seungmin says, not even looking down as he recites the document word for word. “Lease is not voidable in the case of suspected paranormal activity.” He pounds his finger on the period.
Minho laughs. A short, barked thing, completely disbelieving. “You’re kidding me.”
“I’m really not,” Seungmin’s face pinches up into the sort of fake, squinted smile someone gives when they’re being an asshole. No remorse.

Summary
Minho and Jisung have always had this little… “game” of sorts.
It started back in middle school around a year after they met and is still going strong even now, almost a decade later. No crushes, no dating, just two best friends who will always choose each other first.
The only difference is that now Minho knows he's in love with Jisung, and Jisung is too busy trying to find someone to crawl into bed with to realize it.
Minho has never been good at sharing what's his. The patience he's held onto all these years is finally wearing thin as he's forced to sit back and watch Jisung shoot his shot with strangers.
But Minho knows him better than anyone else ever will.

Summary
Jisung’s jaw hits the floor.
“Holy shit. Are you saying I got isekai’d? Oh my god.” He looks down at his hands, clenches and unclenches his fingers. “But— I didn’t even get hit by a truck. I don’t have any overpowered stats.” He pouts. Anime has betrayed him. “This blows.”
“Look on the bright side,” Felix pats Jisung’s shoulder. “Instead of overpowered stats, you get slick and knots. That’s still pretty fun, if you think about it.”
Jisung tilts his head to the side. “What, like the band?”
“What?” Felix blinks.
“Slipknot.”
“No,” Felix frowns slightly, brow creased. “Slick and knots.”
“That’s what I said.”
Felix concedes with a sigh. He says to no one in particular, “He’ll learn eventually.”

Summary
“Oh? What prompted the need for your ‘fresh start’?” asks Jisung. He pops one of the transmission bolts free and scurries after it as it rolls across the ground.
Minho quirks a brow at the clumsy display, stuffs his hands in his pockets. The cute little mechanic is amusing, he’ll admit. Makes him want to say something completely out-of-left-field just to see his reaction; he imagines big round eyes, a disconcerted pout. Adorable.
Minho shrugs. “I fumbled one too many romantic prospects east of the Continental Divide, and I have too much of a pariah complex to handle it maturely.”

Or: Following another catastrophic end to a long list of failed relationships, Minho decides to pack up and start his life anew, but his plans are thwarted when his car breaks down on his drive across the Rocky Mountains. He’s then forced to take up temporary residence in the nearby lakeside town while he waits for his car to be repaired by the cute local mechanic.
