Summary
Both Esther and Heather confide their crush on the other in Abaddon, who 'accidentally' lets it slip to Ben and Nathan. Ben and Nathan decide, for Esther's birthday, to set up an elaborate Disney-esque scheme to get them to confess to each other. It goes as well as you can imagine.

Summary
“Y’know, it’s funny,” Alfred said as Arthur passed the cigarette back to him, “it was only a year ago I was doing all this to you.” He gestured down to the teapot on the nightstand. “Sewin’ you up and making you tea while you…” He trailed off, the memory startlingly fresh. He was starting to make himself upset. “Well,” he said instead. “You know.”

Summary
For the sake of bullshit government efficiency, countless American federal workers are let go from their jobs in the summer of 2025. It was only a matter of time before the Department of National Identity was hit, as no one knows what they actually do. Who would have thought this would set off a chain reaction leading to the reveal of... immortal personified country people who walk among us.
This is a story about government corruption, personal liberty, the power of collective strength, caring for your neighbor, and loving one another without giving a damn who sees it. Also, the Stamp Act of 1765.

Bookmarker's Notes
An extremely modern (literally published 2 months ago) variation on the "nations are discovered by the public" trope in the midst of the second Trump Administration. Extremely well written, characterized, and darkly funny so far. Bookmarking so I can keep track of chapters as I read them. Edit: have now read most of author’s other fics except for their other big series. SO WORTH IT!

Summary
"Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged."
Alfred Kirkland, in blissfully ignorant moments, forgot that he had a father. He's grown accustomed to living alone--as much as he hates it--and he's used to the guilt that gnaws at his soul for the growing resentment he feels towards the man. All of that changes one day in 1764 when Arthur Kirkland reappears after a six-year-long absence.

Bookmarker's Notes
A story set in the 10 or so years before the start of the American Revolution. Alfred is becoming disenfranchised, Arthur is a terrible parent, Matthew is a sassy French child. Related to the other story by this author when Colony Alfred appears by accident. Very angsty.

Bookmarker's Notes
RusAme fic in which Alfred struggles with his atteVtion to Ivan juxtaposed over a game of chess. Chefs kiss when it comes to the push-pull dynamic I so adore.

WWII fic about Lord Father and his Wayward First Born and it was amazing. The description of the bombing was spot on. Angsty and hopeful.
