Based in their hypothetical 8th year at Hogwarts; one day Hermione is brewing a potion and Harry finds himself having feelings he doesn't particularly understand. While trying to deal with this confronting revelation, Harry is paired with Draco in the class, indefinitly. The two must put their past's behind them and realise that both boys have changed.
Also, the title and chapter titles are named after songs because I couldn't come up with anything better. -

Eddie reaches out, grabbing Steve's jaw to turn him. He squints, concentrating on swiping the smudge off Steve’s face. Steve sways closer, then. So close, in fact, that his eyes flutter shut, breath shuddering over Eddie's lips before— kissing him.
Steve is kissing him.
Eddie gasps, hand dropping from Steve's face.
Steve wrenches back.
“Um.” Steve's eyes are wide, mouth parted. “Did you—?”
“Did I–?” Eddie asks, bewildered.
“Was that—“ Steve opens and closes his mouth. finally settles on blinking very fast. “I totally just kissed you.”

Out of the corner of his eye, Gareth can see that Wayne is watching their standoff with a calculating expression.
“We’re airing this out and moving on. And we are going to do it before Eddie gets home.” Harrington states with a finality that sets Gareth’s teeth grinding. As if Steve is the one who’s more concerned about their friend’s feelings than Gareth is at this point.Or
Gareth has had just about enough of Steve Harrington in the fall of '86. He sets about to do something about it. It takes an angry mob, a Corroded Coffin gig and a baseball bat full of nails for him to change his mind.
Gareth gets mad, Eddie gets beat up, Steve gets violent and Wayne is just really tired of everyone's shit.
