Summary
Love. She doesn’t remember the last time she felt love. She doesn’t think she knows what love even feels like. Is it the way her heart aches at every thought of him? Is it the all-consuming warmth she feels in his presence – the security and safety? Is it the way her heart throbs at the thought of losing him? Is it the fact that she knows she wouldn’t be able to breathe if it wasn’t alongside him?
It can’t be. Because that means that love is the only thing that could break her entirely.
She cannot love, for love is weakness.

When the past defines their every step, and their nights are plagued with nightmares, there doesn't seem to be a place for attachment. Bellamy and Clarke, at least, don't seem to think so. Summary
Twelve days pass and too many people die. Wells included. Clarke and Finn turn to each other for comfort and release, and maybe something deeper.
Raven Reyes arrives thirteen days into their time on the ground, all high angles and confident smiles. They try desperately for three days, but the Ark doesn’t talk to them.
Peace with the Grounders is secured by the time they’ve been on the ground for three weeks. Anya takes one look at Clarke and decides they’re not a threat, despite the mishap with the flares, despite the way they’d treated Lincoln, despite everything.
They’ve been on the ground for less than two months when Clarke starts getting sick and realizes that she hasn’t had her period since before they landed.
She’s behind the dropship one morning, her blanket still wrapped around her shoulders, heaving into a bush, when Bellamy finds her. They just stare at each other for a moment, Clarke’s knees chafing on the frozen ground, Bellamy waiting for her to explain. She scrambles for an excuse, even takes a deep breath to talk, but ends up heaving into the dirt again. She closes her eyes, feels someone pulling the hair back from her face, and sighs.
