  1. Summary

Loki looks down his nose as the humans bumbling about on the streets below. He watches from afar not wanting to taint his custom leather coat with the rotten smell of the beings. He rolls his neck, cracking it sharply as he pulls his eyebrows into a deep frown and his lips curl into a sneer.
    Useless. Fragile. Worthless.
    …Just like him…
He failed in the most spectacular manner in the weakest realm. It only makes sense he lives (hides) out his days among them.
Green mist swirls at his feet and his eyes gleam with power. Quick as a whip, his head flung back in a silent scream and gone was the image of Loki he was known for. Instead, was a man no older than mid-twenties with shaggy brown hair tied into a bun, glasses, round and wide, a long trench coat coloured maroon atop of the comfiest navy blue sweater he’s ever worn. He decided to keep his eyes green, they’re a lot less bright then they had been, but green nonetheless.
Now the only question is; when and where to go?

    Summary

‘I’m sorry, sir,’ he said, and Maria looked a little appeased, though now she was gesturing for him to get off stage. And then he smiled real big and wide and sincere and said, ‘Guess I’m just real fuckin’ tired of everyone treating me like an idiot. To answer your question, ain’t a lot I really miss. Polio was pretty fuckin’ awful, and so was the food, and the racism and homophobia and hatred so many folks had for one another for dumb-as-shit differences was so goddamn stupid -’

Maria was suddenly on stage beside him, pulling his microphone away and grabbing his arm with a steel grip. Steve just leaned over to Nat’s mic with a shit-eating grin on his face and said, ‘Thank you so much for your time.’

Steve's tired of the world treating him like he doesn't know a damn thing about the future. Bucky's tired of not knowing a damn thing about the past.

They meet somewhere in the middle.

    Summary

So, Captain America effectively manages to cockblock Tony for a year.

It's not Steve's fault. Well, actually, it is. But he was just proving a point - that if a superhero is gay, how can it be wrong? Steve just picked the wrong superhero to make the point with. Now America will think they're dating - and Tony's not going to be the guy to break Captain America's heart.

There's only one way out. To save face, Steve and Tony have to become fake boyfriends. Steve thinks the "boyfriends" bit will be the hardest to act... but maybe it's the "fake" part that will be the hardest act of all...

    Summary

Death threats are an unfortunate side-effect of being Tony Stark, so he's learned to ignore them. The problem is, when someone really wants you dead, hiding your head in the sand just kinda exposes your ass.

But it's not just Tony's behind on the line. Whoever wants him dead wants him to suffer first, and they're willing to do anything to make that happen. Tony knows there's only one way out. To save Steve, the Avengers, and the general public, Tony has to die. Of course, death isn't always the end, and Tony does what any other self-disrespecting scientist would do: he finds a way to fake his death and avenge his own murder.

The trouble is, terrible decisions usually have a terrible price, and this one is no different. Tony has a chance to save the day, but the cost may be more than Tony was ever expecting to pay…
