    Taking a shot at filling my own prompt on avengerkink:

    In an AU, instead of taking out Tony's arc-reactor, Obadiah Stane kidnapped Tony, faked his death in a "lab accident", imprisoned him, and forced him to design weapons for Stane.

    Bruce is going about his day hacking Stark Industries to learn more about the Hulkbuster weapons when he comes across some discrepancies in the code--subtle things, like inefficient loops in otherwise streamlined code, bizarre variable names, or incorrect comments.

    Intrigued, he goes through all the code of SI's weapons industry, comes up with a pattern, and finds the messages Tony has been hiding in the code.

    And then he goes and busts Tony out. Lots of badassery, including on Tony's part--he may be defeated, but he's not broken.

    Pepper Potts is a lot of things: a former small time model, a loving mother of three, personal assistant to one of the richest and most powerful men alive (at least until the jackass fired her for no good reason!), and now... kidnapper?

    Well, that's such a nasty word, isn't it? It's not like she expected her asshole former boss to wash up on shore with no memory of who he was. And it wasn't like she could just leave him to his own devices when someone obviously wants him dead. Taking him home with her was the only option.

    Making it happen by pretending he's her husband... okay yeah, not one of her better ideas.

    Tomorrow night. Kreacher’s words throbbed inside his head. Regulus will die tomorrow night.

    Sirius definitely wasn’t going to be getting any sleep at all this week.

    Sirius thought he had cut all ties with his family, but when Kreacher shows up in his bedroom with a dire warning, he's hardly able to let his idiot little brother die. And when he learns about the Horcrux his brother was chasing, he's hardly about to let him take on Voldemort alone.

    But getting tangled up in the House of Black again is not the best way to prove his innocence among an already-suspicious Order. Sirius has to walk a fine line if he wants to keep everyone he loves alive.
