“Jes, don’t push people,” Arson sighs. “Sita, don’t lie on the stage when we’re doing important stuff.” This is what he got for going into theatre instead of something sensible, like medicine. He should have seen the drama coming, but nothing in school could have possibly prepared him for these idiots. Still, they were his idiots and he felt obligated to try and keep some kind of peace around here. He couldn’t let it descend into total anarchy, after all, even though the thought sometimes crossed his mind.

The words struck like a hammer on stone, reverberating in the heavy silence. For a moment, the air seemed to hold its breath. Then came the inevitable shift—dozens of heads turned in unison, necks craning to find her, their eyes sharp with pity, relief, or muted guilt. The crowd parted like water around her, a slow and somber wave of grays and blues, their muted clothing a reflection of their lives. Shoulders hunched, eyes averted, no one dared meet her gaze for long.
A Hunger Games AU, for the whole life series, told from Gem’s POV because i was watching the hunger games and wanted to see these characters in this setting!

Cleo was not a superstitious person. Despite the paranoia, and frankly, the insanity that surrounded them daily, Cleo was a relatively normal person. A normal farmer, writing letters to her mother. However, the town of Oakhurst held many more ghosts than they could have anticipated.

a cleo-centric fic focused on overcoming doing the easy thing and doing the right thing, werewolf pearl, and apo and cleo getting along for oncemoonrot vsmp au! there are some narrative changes, and this story begins in ep 1-2ish, and diverges from canon mid-episode three! lots of moonrot fluff but also vampires-typical angst. mind the tags!

“Truth or dare!” Shelby announces triumphantly
Cleo gets up, muttering something about “doing it properly,” and returns with a gleam in her eye, getting up to grab something from a cabinet as she does so. “If we’re going to play,” she says, pulling open a cabinet, “we should make it interesting.” She places a silver dagger in the center of the circle. The metal glints under the torchlight.
“It was originally used on prisoners to force the truth out of them,” Cleo says casually, like it’s something you see every day. “If it points at you and you choose truth, be warned that once you start talking, you won’t stop until the full truth is out.”

It's 2006, the 100 year anniversary, and the survivors plays truth or dare with a dagger that won't let them lie. Everything unravels from there.
