Summary
Heaven finally finds the perfect punishment for Aziraphale: to rip every shard of Crowley from his mind. Each meeting, each conversation, each glance they shared--erased. As each memory is lost to him, Aziraphale loses a part of himself, loses moments that formed his very nature. At the beginning, it was Crowley who showed him that there is more to creation than good and bad. That it’s more complicated than black and white. With that forgotten, Aziraphale becomes exactly what Heaven wanted him to be in the first place: unattached, blind with loyalty, unquestioning. The perfect soldier. And, as if the last 6000 years had never happened, Crowley becomes the enemy.

In order to hide the true nature of their relationship and escape suspicion after the holy water incident Crowley must take Aziraphale to Hell to stake his claim over the angel.

Crowley carefully looked the collar over. “The inscription should cut you off from any heavenly power, no miracles, nothing. Once it’s on, only I can take it off. It will show everyone that-” Crowley shifted on his feet, “That you belong to me.”
This seemed to bring Aziraphale out of his stupor and he finally looked away from the collar, switching his gaze to Crowley’s yellow eyes. “I already do.” His voice was gentle but had the hard edge of confidence.
Crowley drew in a breath. The words traveled down his spine like electricity, lighting him up from the inside. The nerves were fading into excitement. There was still so much riding on this. A brutish display for Hell. But at the end of the day, they did belong to each other. They had said so in many different ways, this was just another display.

Crowley liked playing his cards close to his chest, he didn’t like others knowing what his next move would be. His eyes were always an obvious give away, broadcasting his emotions for everyone to see, reflexively shifting to look at what he wanted most. Sunglasses let him even the playing field.
When wearing sunglasses Crowley made three assumptions: that his eyes were shielded from the sun, that no one could see past the lens into his eyes, and that he looked cool. Two of these were right; sunglasses were made to protect one’s eyes from the harsh rays of the sun and most people found his glasses very fashionable.

Summary
Knitting seemed like soothing hobby. Aziraphale liked the idea of taking these raw materials and turning them into something that could be worn or given as a gift. It seemed like something that, as bookshop owner who drank too much cocoa and wore frumpy sweaters, he should do, he just never got around to it.

"Just a bit of a Good person." The words echoed through Crowley’s head, resonating like a bell, drowning out all other sounds. "Good Good Good." The power in that word when it came from Aziraphale’s mouth was like thunder, a deep rumble that felt like the blessing from an angel.
Crowley needed to hear him say it again. He would do anything, perform a thousand blessings and face the wrath of Lucifer and all his minions, just to know that there was someone in this universe that thought he was worth something.
