Naruto was his regular self until a year ago when his best friend, and secret lover, Sasuke, committed suicide. After that Naruto became distant and started drinking and vaping, occasionally smoking weed as well as hurting himself when the memories hurt too much. He kinda gets bullied but not really. He has a three year older sister, Mito and she disapproves of his actions but doesn't really question him about it so doesn't know his reasoning. They have two parents, one being Minato and the other being a woman Minato married after Kushina’s death (she died giving birth to Naruto), they got together when Naruto was one and married when Naruto was two so he thinks she is his real mother. Naruto’s “mom”, or step-mom, Geneveive, is not really nice to Naruto and very distrusting if her husband, for good reason, and often gets wasted because of it. Minato is cheating on Geneveive multiple times a week with multiple people. Sasuke committed suicide because his family was all dead, except Itachi but Sasuke didn't know that. Sasuke was also made fun of at school and was quite lonely. Sasuke died on his birthday because no one had visited hik or congratulated him, Naruto found him when going to surprise him but he was an hour late.

“Who’s Michelle?”
Max’s voice chimed right in his ear. There was no missing the teasing lilt to it as she leaned over his shoulder, peering down at his phone. A thin stream of smoke drifted from her mouth, curling unintentionally against the back of his neck.
Will startled. He hadn’t even realized she’d crept up behind him—he’d been way too focused on the string of texts glowing on his screen to notice anything else.
“No one!” he blurted, way too fast, snapping his phone shut. His heart jumped into his throat. How long had she been standing there? Heat rushed to his face, cheeks burning bright pink.
Max grinned. “No, let me see, Will,” she said, dropping onto the bench beside him and tossing her skateboard carelessly to the ground. “Are you talking to a girl?”
“Will’s talking to a girl?” Lucas chimed in from the other side of the bench as he sat down, coughing on a hit he hadn’t quite finished.
