Summary
Growing up, Midoriya inherently, and subconsciously understood that he was different from the other kids around him. He was withdrawn and awkward, incapable of comprehending the intricate social cues and nuances that come with making friends and building relationships.
Lately, having grown and matured a little, he was able to manage his idiosyncrasies without much notice from those around him. That being said he still had bad days. Today was one of those days.

She was holding his hands, her thumb absently drifting back and forth over his knuckles. There were violins playing somewhere, for god’s sake. He should have been attempting to listen in on Edison again, or passing information to her in code, or something, but all he could think was that she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen and that it was becoming a problem.
