Summary
Prior to Hogwarts, Harry had stayed mostly invisible to the teachers and adults around him his whole life. But Tom Riddle, the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, looked at Harry like he was something to be wanted.
It's not the first time that Harry's had his stance corrected in Professor Riddle's practical Defense classes—the professor frequently advised students on small adjustments, shifting a foot back here, correcting a wrist swish there—but it's the first time that Riddle has wrapped his entire hand around Harry's, adjusting the angle of his wand movement for an Alohomora.
All of a sudden, a frisson of warmth runs up Harry's arm—just like the first time he had grasped his phoenix and holly wand in Ollivander's shop—and a shower of golden sparks shoots out the tip.
He gasps in surprise. "What was that?" he asks, instinctively taking a step backwards and bumping against Riddle standing behind him. Riddle's hand is still wrapped around Harry's, and his whole arm—his whole body, actually—feels so nice, buzzing with pleasure and warmth and the feeling of pure magic, exactly like the moment that he knew instantly his wand was his.

Summary
During a full moon, Adam's ritual is interrupted by a Witch Hunter that chases him through the forest and tries to kill him. He escapes by the skin of his teeth, only to be betrothed to the same guy that had just tried to murder him - the witch hating Prince of Heavoria, Michael.
Shipped off to live with Michael and his family at their castle, Adam tries desperately to keep his true nature a secret so that he may also keep his head on his shoulders. Adam started his new job at NovakOn as Castiel Novak's personal assistant. It's boring and a little dull, but it pays well. Unfortunately, his social life is practically nonexistent and the only people he does talk to, his brothers Sam and Dean, hardly give him the time of day.
Going through the motions of life without expecting much, Adam's world gets turned upside down when he is transferred from Castiel to his older brother Michael, the infamous and very feared CEO of NovakOn.

“You’re fucking hurt and you still tried to help me.” Lo’ak finally met his brother’s eyes. “You shouldn’t have done that.”
Neteyam’s face softened, and he reached out to grip both of his shoulders. “That was my decision. Just like everything else was my decision. You don’t get to carry that.”
But in fact Lo’ak was carrying it. He felt the weight of it with every breath. The guilt that had been building since the ship, since the bullet, since the moment he’d pulled Neteyam from the water and felt his brother’s blood warm between his fingers.
OR
Neteyam survives the shot, but Jake still looks at his other son as if it’s his fault. Lo’ak doesn’t survive that he was the reason it happened, and the rifle does its job. He dies.
