In past relationships, Kim has been told that he moves too fast. He expects things too quickly, or he wants something the other person isn’t able to give. Not just romantically, but there have also been friends that have had to inform him that he wants to spend too much time with them or his interests are too boring. He’s aware of that, and has done the work to correct it.
Especially with Harry.
Kim is pretty sure that Harry is queer, and he can entertain the idea that he’s interested in Kim, but he’s also still early in his recovery. And they’ve only known each other for four months. He can keep things casual for a long time. Possibly forever, if that’s what it requires, cause as often as he imagines what Harry would look like naked and on his knees, he also really enjoys that he has someone that wants to play board games with him.

There's very few things that suck more than this, Judit thinks, staring up at the ceiling of her bedroom. She is in horrible pain, unable to even lift her arms, and Richard is either stuck saying he doesn't feel like picking up her daily chores or, if he relents, he asks her so many clarifying questions that it would be less painful to try and get up and do it herself.
But then Jean offers to do it like it's no problem, and he does everything so effortlessly, that she thinks it's kind of sexy if she's being honest. Or maybe it's the painkillers causing her head to go all loopy, who knows.

"So Cuno volunteered himself for late evening training," Harry said through the phone, still at the office. "Something to do with the horses. I think he intends to start immediately as a patrol officer once juvie training is over. He doesn't need me to stay to give him a ride or anything I just - it'll be so dark once he's done."
He gets it. Kim feels a similar pang of worry at the thought, but he also is confident that if Cuno says he would still like to walk himself home then he can handle himself. Harry has always been more of a worrier than he is, or perhaps, if Kim is being unkind to himself, Harry has a natural parent instinct within him that Kim is still learning to tune into day by day.
"So yeah, we'll be home super late. Every Wednesday. I'll make sure that we both eat a real dinner before we get home. You can make sure that C eats something besides crackers, right?" He jokes, but it's more of that Fatherly Anxiety coming through.
"I'll find something." Kim assures him. "And I won't even attempt to cook."
