Summary
Waking up had been more of a struggle than normal; the young sorcerer was accustomed to chronic headaches, but that was no matter, usually. He had a higher pain tolerance than most, and the pangs would usually lessen by evening. It would be as if the issue were never there in the first place.
But this time—as he found himself almost tripping from the sharp turn his companions took into the nearby alleyway—it was abundantly clear that was not the case.

“Fushiguro, guess what.” Kugisaki called, slamming her lunch tray down on the seat next to him, pulling her legs over the other end of the bench. Megumi raises an eyebrow, his head tilted back as he drank from the plastic water bottle that he had taken with him. “Ieiri-san is a ghost.”
The idea of it was so utterly ridiculous that Megumi had choked on his water and for a minute or so Kugisaki had watched him expectantly as Okkotsu awkwardly patted his back. He didn't even know where he came from, but the second year's area was a few tables from theirs.
“Listen, how do you think a person can be that drained and tired for so long? Lazy movements, eyebags, makeup to cover up pale skin. It all leads to one solution; our school nurse is a ghost trying to fit in as a human.”
